In Tell Basta you see the ruins of Bubastis, the capital of Egypt in the 22nd dynasty (945-720 B.C.). You see the remains of a temple and re-used blocks from other pharaonic cities that is so typical of pharaonic cities in the Delta.

Qantara
The Holy Family must have passed al-Qantara, a town on the Suez Canal north of Ismailia , after leaving Farma, since it is a small isthmus between the two salty lake of Manzalah and Barah. However, there is very little related to the Holy Family to be found there.

Farma was once a port and trading center at the most eastern branch of the Nile. It was aslo the traditional entry of Egypt from the Holy Land, thus invaders from the east use to name it The Key Of Egypt.
